We design & build construction projects for housing associations and local authorities throughout North Wales. We’ve developed a highly successful framework for new build projects which is responsive to the needs and priorities of local communities.
Larkmount Road, Rhyl
Regular client Pennaf Housing Group commissioned us to design and build a brand new bungalow on the site of an existing, run-down property in Larkmount Road, Rhyl. Over 26 weeks, we demolished the existing bungalow entirely and built a stunning new two-bedroom bungalow on the site.
After completing our build of the new bungalow, we landscaped all its external space and installed an accessible new front entrance to the property. Pennaf Housing Group were delighted with the result of this project.
Westbourne Avenue, Rhyl
Clwyd Alyn Housing Association manage over 6,000 homes across North Wales. They provide general family accommodation, supported living schemes, housing with care, and support home ownership options.
In 2019, we completed the design and build of twelve apartments and four town houses in Westbourne Avenue, Rhyl for Clwyd Alyn Housing Association. We spent over a year working with them on this development.
We spent 97% of our budget with local businesses, delivered 35 apprentice weeks, and paid all our contractors within one month.

Rhyl has a shortage of affordable housing. Having identified the Westbourne Avenue site, we worked closely with Clwyd Alyn Housing Association to identify the appropriate housing mix of housing for the site. Thanks to a Welsh Government Social Housing Grant secured with Denbighshire County Borough Council, we purchased the land and entered into a packaged D+B JCT contract with Clwyd Alyn Housing Association.
As Westbourne Avenue is on a busy thoroughfare into Rhyl Town Centre, it was important to limit rush hour deliveries and not obstruct buses and emergency vehicles. The site overlooks Marine Lake—a popular destination for tourists—so we also gave consideration to minimising disruption during the busy tourist season.

Victoria Road, Rhyl
Social housing is provided by local councils and housing associations at rates which are affordable to people on low incomes. Registration for social housing depends on an applicant’s household meeting “housing need.”
We’re currently in progress on a design and build development at Victoria Road and Vale Park, Rhyl which will become Tŷ Dyffryn development for our client Cantrefi Conwy. The former business park and dairy buildings were demolished in 2019 to make way for much needed affordable housing for people in Rhyl. This scheme will consist of 18, two-bedroom, three-person apartments with landscaping, under croft parking, and associated works.
